Brighton, CO
When the Brighton Recreation Center opens its doors to the public on June 15, visitors will be required to pre-register to use the facility’s amenities. Each reservation will be for a specific time block of 1 hour, 15 minutes and can be made up to 48 hours in advance.
To reserve a time block, follow these steps:
Starting on Friday at 11 a.m., visit the Recreation Center’s website[1] and click on the ‘reservable schedule’ to see times and availability (You can also make a reservation directly by clicking here[2]). Select ‘reserve time’ and log-in (for existing users) or create an account (for new users). This schedule only reserves your time slot, so all entry fees must be paid at check-in. The use of credit/debit cards is preferred over cash and check and the Rec Center will accept all currently active memberships.
Reservations can also be made by calling the facility at 303-655-2200 Monday through Friday from 6:15 a.m. – 7 p.m., Saturdays 8:15 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and Sundays 12:15 – 4 pm. You can also make a reservation via smartphone by visiting the App Store and downloading the “Brighton Rec Center Schedule” app. Reservations can be made 48 hours in advance, with a limit of 1 time slot per patron per day. For this Friday only, reservations can be made by phone and online from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. since the facility will be closed over the weekend.
The opening will follow guidance from the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment and state orders regarding recreation centers. Hours of operation will be 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Saturdays, and 12 – 4 p.m. Sundays. Under state guidelines, the facility will operate with a maximum of 50 people, and a limit of 10 people per room to help with social distancing.
In addition, outdoor classes that adhere to state safety guidelines will be offered. Lap swim will be permitted, but limited to five swimmers at a time, one swimmer per lane. Family swim will also be allowed for families of the same household. The following amenities will remain closed due to concerns related to COVID-19 exposure: The steam room, sauna, hot tub, lockers, water fountains and the indoor track. Drop-in childcare will also not be available.
All visitors are asked to wear a face covering inside the center. Failure to adhere to safety guidelines could result in removal from the facility. A cleaning will be done between each reservation. Sanitization supplies will be provided for additional cleaning of equipment.
The Recreation Center staff are doing their best to follow the guidelines set in place by the state and ask that all visitors do their part in following new procedures so operations can continue. If you have further questions, please head over to the Brighton Recreation Center’s website[3], Facebook Page[4] or call 303-655-2200.
